Terms of use

The short version

• The Zoorithmetic website's practice pages are free and need no sign-up. The app is free to download, with an optional one-time Family Unlock.
• Only a parent or another adult 18 or older can create an account. Children use the app only under a parent's account, with the parent's consent.
• The Family Unlock is one payment of USD 19.99, with no subscription and no renewal.
• A purchase made on our website can be refunded in full if you ask within 14 days. Purchases in the App Store or Google Play follow Apple's or Google's refund rules.
• Zoorithmetic is practice for math facts. It is not a curriculum and does not replace a teacher.

Who we are

Zoorithmetic is operated by Hausbound, LLC, 1300 Rt 17 North Ste 1, Ramsey, NJ 07446. You can reach us by email at support@zoorithmetic.com or by phone at (201) 785-7309. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Hausbound, LLC, and "you" means the person using Zoorithmetic.

Accounts and children

• The website's free pages, games, charts and quizzes need no sign-up. Anyone can use them.
• In the app and the website's parent account area, only a parent or another adult 18 or older can create an account, and the account holder is responsible for it. You can sign in with email, Sign in with Apple or Google sign-in.
• Children never sign in or create an account. A child uses the app only under a parent's account, after the parent has given consent. A family can add up to 6 children.
• Please keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us at support@zoorithmetic.com if you think someone else has used your account.

Your family's privacy

Our privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who sees it and how a parent can review or delete a child's information. It is part of these terms, and it governs how we handle your family's information. You can read it on the privacy policy page linked at the end of these terms.

Using Zoorithmetic fairly

Please use Zoorithmetic only for its purpose: practicing math facts at home or in class. You agree not to:

• break the law, or use Zoorithmetic to harm a child or anyone else;
• try to get into another family's account or information;
• copy, resell or republish the app, the site or its content, except printing our free charts and worksheets for your own family or class;
• interfere with the site or the app, overload it, or use automated tools to scrape it;
• share or sell gift codes in a way meant to get around their single use.

What is free and what you can buy

• The website and the app's free tier are free and never expire. The free tier includes practice for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts and telling time, timed and untimed.
• A new family account gets the Parent Toolkit free for 14 days. No card is needed and nothing is charged when it ends. Each family account gets one preview.
• The Family Unlock is a one-time purchase of USD 19.99 for the whole family account, not per child or device. It is one payment, with no subscription and no renewal. Sales tax is added where it applies.
• The price is the same in the App Store, in Google Play and on our website.
• If your family buys the Family Unlock twice by mistake, we keep your access and refund the extra purchase. For a second purchase in the App Store, we show you how to ask Apple for the refund.
• Purchases are available only to customers in the United States.

Gift codes

• You can buy the Family Unlock as a gift on our website, at the same price. The person you give it to redeems a single-use gift code in their family account.
• A gift code can be redeemed until the date 5 years after it was bought. That date is shown when you buy and in the gift email. After that date the code can no longer be used. We never charge a fee on a gift code.
• A gift code works once. If the family already has the Family Unlock, the code is not used up.
• A gift is a purchase made on our website, so the refund rule below applies. If a redeemed gift is refunded, the family's Family Unlock ends.

Refunds

• A purchase made on our website, including a gift, can be refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of the purchase. Email support@zoorithmetic.com with the email address you used to buy.
• Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play follow Apple's or Google's refund rules. You ask Apple or Google for the refund, and the app's parent area links to the right place.
• When a purchase is refunded, the Family Unlock ends and the family goes back to the free tier. Your children's practice history is kept.

Your family's information and our content

Your children's practice results and the details you enter belong to your family. We use them only to run Zoorithmetic, as our privacy policy describes. A parent can export or delete them at any time, free on every plan.

The site, the app, the animal characters, the games, the charts and the written content belong to Hausbound, LLC. You may use them for your family's or your class's own practice, and print our free charts and worksheets for that purpose.

Practice, not a curriculum

Zoorithmetic helps children practice and remember math facts. It is not a curriculum, it does not teach full lessons, and it does not replace a teacher or a school program. Progress maps, grade bands and reports are a guide for parents, not a grade or an assessment.

United States only

Zoorithmetic is offered only in the United States. The app is available only in the United States App Store and Google Play, and purchases are available only to United States customers.

Deleting your account and ending these terms

• You can stop using Zoorithmetic at any time.
• Any parent can delete a child's profile at any time, or remove their own login and information.
• Deleting the whole family account needs every parent with a login to agree, or 30 days to pass after the other parent was told without them stopping it. Our privacy policy explains each step.
• A purchase made in the App Store or Google Play can be restored to a new account after the family account is deleted. A purchase made on our website, or a redeemed gift, ends with the deleted account. We tell you this before you confirm.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts a child or other families at risk. If we do, we will tell the account holder by email, unless the law does not allow it.

Disclaimers

We work hard to keep Zoorithmetic accurate and working, but we provide it "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms, including any implied promise that Zoorithmetic will suit a particular purpose or will always be available or free of errors.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Hausbound, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, such as lost data or lost time, that come from using Zoorithmetic. Our total liability for any claim about Zoorithmetic is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing. Some states do not allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have that the law does not let us limit.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. If you have a problem, please contact us first at support@zoorithmetic.com; most issues can be solved that way.

Any dispute about these terms or Zoorithmetic goes to the state or federal courts in Bergen County, New Jersey. Either side may use small claims court where the claim qualifies. There is no arbitration requirement and no class-action waiver in these terms.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change matters to how you use or pay for Zoorithmetic, we will also tell account holders by email or in the app before it takes effect.
